Pigs are considered to be the fourth most intelligent species on the planet. They are much smarter than dogs and cats, and scientifically have the same cognitive ability as a 3 year old human child.

Often when challenged, those in favour of farming and other exploitative practices justify such by saying that animals have no feelings and that they are not aware, that they lack sentience.
